The Rockville Pregnancy Clinic is a 501(c) (3) non-profit, faith-based medical clinic specializing in pregnancy and sexual health issues. It was formed by a group of Christians from different churches in Montgomery County under the leadership of founder, Gail Tierney, for the purpose of offering positive alternatives to abortion for women facing unplanned pregnancies, and empowering them to choose a healthy life style.
Incorporated in 1986 and opening our doors in 1987, we wanted a place where women in crisis could feel the compassion of Jesus Christ while being helped medically, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
We are affiliated with Care Net, the largest prolife evangelical organization in the country, and are governed by a local board of directors and receive our funding locally.
Volunteers comprise 97% of the staff and there are 6 staff members, half of whom work part-time. Over fifty churches are represented by our volunteers, and churches give 16% of our total budget. Tens of thousands of families have been served by the RPC over these years.
